be functional... a piece that can
be used. But
where does the concept
“furniture” end and
art begin? Taking ideas and
coaxing materials
beyond the norm to surpass the
idea of what
furniture is, creates art.
Selecting and using
veneers and solid wood; combining
masterful
concepts and handmade
craftsmanship creates
a functional piece of art. To call
my pieces
“furniture” is
accurate. I am a furniture maker
and this is my art.
